Siamak Filizadeh

Siamak Filizadeh (born in 1970), is an Iranian contemporary artist and art director based in Tehran.

His staged photography is a combination of graphic techniques, painting and photography.

To create that, he gathers symbolic elements in a theatrical space along with the actors to create fantasy, humorous and grotesque images.

He has presented his artworks in many group shows at the Swiss Academy of Art and Design, the Los Angeles Museum of Art, the Chelsea Art Museum in New York and the Thomas Urban Gallery in New York.

“Return of Rostam 2” collection was presented to the public again in 2013 during a solo show at the LACMA Museum in Los Angeles and made the artist more well-known at the international level.

Two artworks from the “Return of Rostam 2” collection are now kept in the permanent collection of LACMA & Metropolitan Museum of New York.

The “Underground” collection was created as a continuation of the artist’s previous collections and includes conceptual works combining the techniques of painting, photography and graphics.

This collection comes together as the result of the collaboration of a team of artists in the fields of costume design, stage and light design, and make-up design.
