Andy Warhol, who introduced the imagery of daily life, advertising, consumer goods, and pop stars to the walls of galleries and museums, is the protagonist of the new series. Hassanzadeh considers this as an homage to the artist who also used to create icons of everyday objects as well as pop stars, and who promoted his favorite artistic medium –silkscreen print- in the contemporary art scene. In terms of technique, this series brings together a collection of Khosrow Hassanzadeh’s artistic experiences. He has a distinct talent in a magical combination of photographic and painterly manner. Using collage and audacious painterly brushstrokes, with an overarching mastery, he transforms photographic silkscreen prints into fascinating, confident, and flowing paintings.
